Incoming mail not working after KitKat update

I'm getting no incoming email on my phone at all... The inbox shows my last updated date/time is 06/18/2014 at 2:43pm... I can send mail with no issues.. I have reset my email settings with both SSL and no SSL with no success... Anything I can do to get this to work?

I additionally had to do a hard reset in order to fix both the email and the battery issues... it sucks to have to reload all my apps, but at least my data was backed up...

I regret to learn of the issues with receiving incoming e-mails, TomGrills! Just to be clear, have you deleted the e-mail account and tried to add back? Which device do you have? Does this happen with more than one e-mail account?

I have a Galaxy Note II... I had not tried deleting the account, so I did... and that did the trick... Thanks for the tip!

I have the same problem. Deleting the email account and then remaking it works, but only for a day then no emails again. Really annoying! How do we fix this properly?
