manual email update

Recently purchased a LG G2 phone and added by corporate email account. For this email account, I turned off auto sync because I do not want my emails to go to phone automatically. Now when I open the email app, it tells me auto sync is off (GOOD) and that I need to manually update my email. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to do that. There is no button on the screen to do a manual update.

There was no button, but when I selected the three horizontal lines on the bottom of the screen a menu came up. One choice is "Refresh". I selected Refresh and my new emails arrived. Thanks for the help.

Is there a button or option for sync? With the email app open, look for three dots in a vertical line, tap it, and then tap Sync... that will force a sync at that point (manually update).
