I took my 16 gb SD card out of my Galaxy S3 and it will not work in my S4...

Just wondering why my SD card will not work in my new phone... Its very frustrating. I took it out of my S3 last night, and put it directly into my new S4 and it wont mount.. I put in a different card and it worked fine@

.. Any way to retrieve all my photos and apps??

The SD cards are no hot swappable. You have to unmount or turn the device off prior to switching devices. By not doing so the other phone may see it as being "owned" by another device.

Trying sticking the sd card back into the S3 unmount it properly and then put it in the new device.

It's in reference to a different phone, but the same principle applies - the card needs to be formatted in the phone you want to use it in - and formatting erases everything, so copy the info to your computer FIRST, then format the card, and then copy things back. Or, as you did, use a different card. If you want the info form the original card, you'll have to go through the process I outlined above.

ok. thanks.... Just wanted to be able to take the card from one to the other and have the recent photos I took more easily accessible than in a "cloud".... Not to mention some of my apps.. But ill just download what i can to my computer...:)

Well.. my old phone won't read it either. Could I have ruined that easy?

I've taken it out before without unmounting it.. ugh had pics of our

vacation from last week I hadn't saved yet. :smileysad:
