There are numerous fixes you can try, such as removing the battery immediately, putting it in a bag of rice, or letting it sit on a cable box for a little while. (The heat from the cable box will dry it out.)
That said, in my experience as a technician, you should probably purchase a new phone. Do you have insurance?
