IIs the current promo good for as long as you want it ? Or will it cease when you upgrade in two years?
i'm also hoping to get an answer on this as well.
I may be wrong but I thought someone said it was only for 1 year.
really...i'm trying to find the fine print that states this. though that doesn't even seem corrrect since it is assumed that the people they lure with the promo would likely be signing 2 year contracts.
Like I said, I may be wrong. Not sure what the terms and conditions say but if you can't find it on the website then you might want to call CS to ask or visit your local store. It might be quicker than getting a concrete answer on here. Hopefully someone that knows for sure will chime in
Yes they would be signing 2 yr contracts but that doesn't mean a promo has to last the whole length. That's up to VZW's discretion. This isn't a plan they have...it's a bonus promo thing. Much like Dish or DirectTV (can't remember which) has a $19.99 a month promo deal. You have to sign a 2 year contract but the promo price is only for the 1st 12 months.
Lots of bad info here. You must sign up for the promotion before Oct 31, but once you do, it does not expire unless you change plans or data amounts in the future. If you did that you would lose it forever (or until the next promotion). It is not tied to your contract. There is not set expiration date once you have it.
would renewing a 2 year plan when upgrading to a new phone count as changing plans? even though the terms of the plan are not changing. thanks for the reply btw.
I made sure to clearly state that I may be wrong so I hope no one took what I said as being accurate info for this promo. Like I said, it seems like someone mentioned in one of the other threads that it only lasts for 1 year. Either way, maybe it would make people with questions more at ease if the info stating the details of the promo was made available for them to look at?
Renewing is not changing the plan. As long as you don't change the data allotment, you can add a line, take away a line, upgrade to new phone, just don't change the data amount.
Verizon has a habit of not being clear how to save money. It is hard to find info on saving $15 or $25 per line that is out of contract (month to month). For the double data, you know this is how Verizon runs these promos from history, and I confirmed in a few articles where the reporter asked Verizon management. You are right, you don't find a clear answer on Verizon web pages, but it is how I stated above.
