Galaxy S5 will not use 4g

I Have a brand new galaxy s5 that will not lock onto 4g. It is constantly on 3g. I have seen that there are others with the same problem but no one seems to have had a resolution. I was really excited to get this phone switching from a droid razr m. I am in Baltimore (21237 zip code) and I know we have 4g lte coverage in our area. I have taken the SIM card out and put back in, rebooted, airplane mode off and on . . . . . . No luck.  Any suggestions?

Congratulations on your new S5, scottman1. We want you to enjoy all aspects of the phone. I was able to check the area of Baltimore that you are in and it does show as variably covered. Let's check some things so you can get the best signal possible. If you have a case on the phone, please remove it so we can test. Also power off, remove & reinsert the SIM card, power on and try again.

Make sure WiFi is disabled.
