I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years but T-Mobile is looking really good right now.
I pay approximately $180.00 for two phones and the service I get is worth $30 at best.
Where can I file a written formal complaint?
Story: I was up for renewal and got the HTC 6435LVW well over a year ago maybe two years at this point. BIGGEST MISTAKE ON THE PLANET BECAUSE THIS PHONE SUCKS. I drop my horrible phone and it broke. I call Verizon to find out what the insurance process is for replacing the phone. So far I’m good, I have insurance on the phone, no sweat. Verizon tells me my insurance was canceled because Asurion claims they sent me a letter asking if I still wanted insurance and I didn’t respond so they removed it. Uhhhhh what? I have had insurance since the day I signed up for Verzion 10 years ago, why on earth would they send a letter asking if I still wanted insurance? I pay for the insurance, I haven’t called to have it removed, why on earth wouldn’t I want it? Verizon tells me they will help me out by giving me the same phone but I have to resign my contract for another two years. I tell Verizon the phone I have is horrible and if I have to resign a two year contract why can’t I get a different model phone? It wasn’t my fault Asurion removed my insurance to begin with as I never asked for it to be removed! Verzion says it’s the best they can do. I do it because I have no other choice other than to pay full price for a new phone. I don’t have that kind of cash laying around for a cell phone.
Fast forward a year later and I’m still stuck with a horrible phone which hardly works. If I get internet when I really need it (like when I’m lost and need directions) I’m feeling really lucky that day. If I get calls, I’m really lucky. Text messages…I tell people to text me twice to make sure I receive the text. I’ve been on tech support calls, customer service calls, and the only end result is…you have to wait for your new upgrade date or put in a new insurance claim for the same phone. This morning, I wake up and look at my phone and it won’t turn on. Nothing, zero, zip, zilch. I call Verizon and guess what story I get? Yep…you have to either wait for your upgrade, go through Asurion to get a replacement or sign up for the edge program.
After 10+ years with Verizon all I get is the customer service run around. They’re really nice and friendly about the run around but solve nothing unless I want to spend more money.
