For over the past month, I have wasted hours of my time contacting Verizon due to the data not working on my iphone 5. I am unable to send text messages or use any of the smartphone features due to the internet not working. This has been a major inconvience for me as it would be for most people. I have been told everything from I need a new phone(though it's never been out of the otterbox case), the towers are too buys(it occurs all the time in different cities), and now that I may need a new SIM card.
I'm truely at a loss at this point. I am carrying a paperweight(iphone) around when most of the time it doesn't work. I had to cancel my mobile hotspot that I was paying $25-$30 a month for b/c I couldn't use it. Now, I continue to pay $30 a month for internet that I am also not able to use.
I have a grandfathered unlimited data plan that I have read Verizon is restricting data on some accounts though I was told it hasn't been done to mine. I feel like they are restricting my data enough that it doesn't work and trying to force me into signing a new contract.
I have a contract with Verizon Wireless which states I will pay them money and in return I will be provided the service I am paying for. I should not have to waste days on the phone with verizon to get a resolutation to my issue.
Any suggestions?
