have you tried turning off wifi? group messages are considered mms, and generally won't download through wifi, needs to go through cellular data.

beezach, Receiving all of your messages are important, indeed! Asnicholasbranson metioned, having Wifi turned on, will effect the success of group and picture messages. I am glad he advised to ensure this feature is off! Let's figure this out. Which text application are you using when trying to receive group messages - the one that came preinstalled with your Droid RAZR or a 3rd party downloaded app? i use the one that came with the phone and that did not work so I tryed another one and that did not work. So I deleted it and just have the one that came with the phone.
so just to be clear... when you go into settings, the wifi option is turned off? Even if you aren't connecting to wifi, there may be an issue if the switch is turned on.
Yes it is off I don't use wifi.

I Have no problems with any thing besides reciving group messages. I never use wifi
I have the same problem! I was sent a new phone...problem continues. Went to the Verizon store today and they gave me a new sim card. This evening the problem continues. Happens with pics and group messages. Even if data is on. So frustrating to lose important messages from family and work
When I get a group text, I have to shut down my phone and turn it back on to receive the message or wait several hours for the message to download. And most times the message is ONE WORD. This is ridiculous. How do you fix this? I have a Droid Razr -
