Sending iphone in for $200 gift card - forgot to use green bag. Can I get my iphone back?

I sent in my old iphone to take advantage of the $200 gift card to upgrade to to iphone 6 Plus.  I just realized that there was a green bag that I was to put the phone in!!!! I was so worried about padding in that I did see the bag until after I sent it.  NOW I see on the instructions that I MUST use the GREEN bag!! I am so stupid.  If Verizon wont give me the $200 for a perfectly good phone because I didn't use a green bag  (That had NO markings on it), will they send it back to me so I can at least try to sell it on ebay?  This was my fault but I dont think it is right for Verizon not to give me anything because I didn't use the green bag.  I did send it in the package with the submission number... Any one esle had this issue?  I hate to think I lost $200 of gift card

I find it hard to believe that a green bag would matter that much. Especially if they know it has no markings and it is easy to miss. I do not think they will send it back, but I cannot see it interfering with your $200 trade in. I hope this works out for you as I can imagine you are not the only Verizon customer to make this mistake. It seems like such a petty mistake I hope it does not really matter that much.
