Poor phone / text service / signal in 92562

Since Monday 10/27/14, the cell phone signal for making / receiving phone calls and text messages has been weak or not present at all. As my phone (Samsun Galaxy S5) attempts to stay connected, I have drained a fully charged battery from 100% to 14% in less than 4 hours (it would typically drop maybe to 80% in that time). Text messages have to be attempted to send 5 - 10 times before success, and phone calls work about 1 out of 10 attempts, and then we lose about 1/2 of the calls while connected. We are located in an area where service is never perfect, but there is a substantially noticeable difference the last couple days. (approximate location= 33.563507, -117.315851 )

Thank you for the response. Zip code is listed in heading, 92562. I also listed the approximate latitude and longitude in the original post because our zip code has a lot of different topography, and we live in a more rural area. I have performed no recent updates, and we are experiencing difficulty with 3 different phones on the property.

Thanks so much for the details camaro982. I do apologize for the oversight on my part there as you most certainly did list the information in the previous post. We do want to try a few things with one of the devices to see if this can improve what is happening. If there has been some issues reported since Monday, we can check to see what was done to see if updating the device will pick up the changes. Can you try removing and reinserting the SIM card on the S5. This will attempt to update the device and its connection with the network. Once the phone is back on try making a test call to #832 for me to make sure it says it is successful.

I and other users who live on the same property have performed the SIM card removal/replacement, and are getting no noticeable difference or improvement in cell-signal, or ability to receive and place phone calls, or send text messages. I want to make sure that I am clear regarding the problem: at no time have we lost all ability to make/receive phone calls and text messages, there is just a marked change in how easily we can carry out those tasks. We may have to attempt to make a call 5-10 times before it connects and the call actually goes through, and we are missing most calls (suddenly a voice-mail notification will appear, without the phone ringing, and no 'missed-call' notification shows).

In talking with other VZW users in the area, they also have noticed a difference in cell-network performance during the last week. I was disappointed to watch a visitor to my property over the weekend place a call with ease using a T-Mobile device --- one of my primary motivators for using VZW is the apparent supremacy in Cellular area coverage. So, I assume there must be something awry with the Cell-Tower used to provide service to my area. Please advise.
