I downloaded songs from my Amazon Prime account to my Galaxy S4. They showa as downloaded to device. However, when I try to change a ringtone to one of the songs, they do not show up. Can anyone hep with this?
My apologies. I am not sure but that Digital Rights Management (DRM) is still used today as it once was. It is a possibility.
What I can tell you to try is find a song on your computer that you like. Attach it to an email and then send to your device.
If it is in your MUSIC folder then try and see if you can assign it as a ring tone.
What I have done on past android devices was to long press the song and select add as a ringtone.
This is what I have done with my wife's LG G2. But I had to do it numerous times to have it added to the ringtone list on the device. a real pain.
But your issue is not finding the song at all. If its not in the music folder or in your downloads folder I would get an app called astro file Viewer/browser free in the Google play store.
Then search for the song via the search feature.
At least then you will know where its located to get it as a ringtone:smileyhappy:
Hope it works out

See if the above links help. One is from a AT&T help section but the method should be the same.
Your owners manual will also tell you how to assign ringtones or change them.
Good Luck
To be clear on my question....I know how to assign ringtones. The problem is locating the songs that are supposedly "downloaded to device". They are not in the download folder and when I go to assign a new ringtone, they are not on the list of songs from which to choose. I am looking for tips on how to find the songs downloaded from Amazon Prime as I have checked all folders I can think of. I was told perhaps they are DRM protected and that's why I can't find them.
Thanks, Elector. I'll try some of those work-arounds. It is not in my music folder. I'm trying through Amazon to see if it's something with the app. I just can't bring myself to purchase ringtones, especially since they are gone everytime I get a new phone! I appreciate your kind assistance!
