I have read many posts here regarding the Red X Charging issue on different types of phones. Personally I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII. Verizon, with all the posts on here, surely you have been able to understand the problem. I use the charger that came with my phone from Samsung. It doesn't matter whether I plug it into a wall outlet, or into the usb on my laptop, or the usb in my car. The results are all the same... The phone takes about 30 seconds to notify me that it is charging, and it takes at least 12 hours on the charger to get a 95% to 100% charge. Then this charge doesn't hold as long as normal. For me, prior to the software update to KitKat, my phone would stay charged 3-4 days. Now I'm lucky if I make it 12 hours. Sometimes the battery just seems to make huge dips in charge level... like 75% to 25%... for no reason, all at one time. Without running any background programs, and just sitting on standby, I purchased a new battery, that didn't help. I use the original charger, that doesn't help. This is extremely frustrating, I need to be able to depend on my phone. I for one am very disappointed in how Verizon is handling this issue. It effects a huge number of your customers going by the number of posts discussing the issue. Verizon needs to make this a priority and FIX The PROBLEM. Before customers start looking elsewhere for service. You can have the largest network in the country, but if my phone doesn't stay charged long enough to use it.... What's the point??
