Droid Maxx-message on screen that wont go away

Hello, there is a message that continues to appear on the bottom of my screen that "message expired or not available". I know it is from a Gmail message I deleted but I cannot get the message to go away. I have uninstalled Gmail and restarted my phone and those did not work. Can you please help! Thank you.

Hey there, Wendy! I'm a clean slate kinda guy so I know that alert would bug the heck out of me. You've done some good troubleshooting so far. A question for you: You said that you had deleted the Gmail message. Was it deleted from your phone or did you go to native Gmail to delete it there? The reason I ask is that there's something on your device related to that message (such as an attachment) which may be causing this alert.

I deleted it from both my phone and my gmail on my computer. Message is still there. :smileysad:

Thanks for sharing that information. It's very strange to get a message like this, but I'm sure we can get rid of it. Does this message appear on every screen you look at when you're trying to use your phone or just when you are in your Gmail account? Please try Resetting your email app by going to Settings>Apps (under the All Apps tab)>select the email app>Stop>OK>Clear data>OK. Let us know if that resolves this issue!

I had already done that but I did it again and I am still getting the message. I get the message on all screens. AHHHHH!
