My Droid Razor Maxx HD - can't find my photos!

My Droid Razor Maxx HD won't take a picture and the pictures I have are all black screens. Worked fine Sunday when I uploaded a short video. I checked memory space and it seems fine. Where are my pictures? Tried to download them and they show up as "empty files." Help!

I tried powering off the phone and turning it back on. Did the trick! All photos seem to be back in their place (not on SD card - within phone memory).

Lets help gather the valuable memories that you've collected. Do you save pictures to the SD card or to the device's hardware? Do 3rd party applications recognize the camera? ( ie, Facebook, Instagram, etc )
