I just bought a new Droid Turbo and the nylon backing doesn't seem right. It's crunchy, as if there is too big a gap between the phone and the nylon. Has anyone else noticed this? I hope it's not just an issue with my phone. Thanks.
I bought the ballistic nylon Droid Turbo today as well. I did not notice any separation between the fabric and the phone. There is a definite fabric feel to it. That fabric feel is different for a phone. It feels tight.
The one in the store felt kind of crunchy on the bottom left (if looking at the screen side). I pushed all around it to test for that.
I checked mine. No chrunchy.
Hey it's Good to hear there are member's that have this phone I looked at the 32GB version the Red one.! it has an Aluminum back covered by a Red Anodizing I liked it but think I would like the Nylon one better. But just to let one's know you have 14 Days to return the Turbo if it not working up to what it should be..
One thing I would check Look in at Droid Life, Android Center, and one's like these that do Test and report how the phone is operating and if there are any issues they see with the outer parts like the Nylon back. and if all else fail return it and have the store you bought it at get you another one..
Enjoy your phone's b33

smotpoker,Congrats on the new phone! We definitely want to make sure your device does not have any physical damage. Have you had a chance to stop my your closest VZW store to have them take a look at the device? http://vz.to/Z26SAQLindseyT_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupport
Thank you for all the replies. I bought it from the Verizon store in Grafton, WI, but they are almost an hour away from me so I won't be able to make it back there until next week. We have one of the authorized retailers here called Z Wireless; would they be able to assist? Or do I need to take it to the actual Verizon store?
I appreciate you taking time to work with us as well! The device would have to go back to the original point of sale. The authorized retailer would not be able to complete an exchange.Thank you,YaleK_VZW Follow us on Twitter @VZWsupport
I just drove an hour to the store and the salesman just blew me off and said it was normal. Very upset right now
I wanted to let you know that I've heard it from several online reviewers and I have it on mine as well. I believe it's just an inevitable effect of the 3d texture flexing against different material surfaces inside the phone. No damage being done in my (novice) estimation. I'm sorry you drove all that way for a headache and high blood pressure. :smileysad:
How are you liking your turbo so far? I've only had mine one day so far and love everything except the sparse camera features. A 21 mp cam should have some serious software to accompany, but I assume updates will come. Traded in a semi beat up htc one m7 because I was tired of leaving it hooked to a charger while I'm at work (teaching.)
Also, I don't mine the noise because I'm going to have mine in a case all the time anyway. Looking forward to a larger selection of cases. I wonder if I can exchange it for the smaller series.... Commuter I think?
Yea your right on the Camera 21 mega pixels and it's just ok, That's what I heard even on A.C and Droid Life it too bad too the technology they threw in this phone Moto keeps throwing the camera part of it under the bus, I think it could do better if they would just commit to it..
I think with their rolling up to L soon maybe they figured that can be thrown in then too. I mean it's still a great camera as the software stands... And I'm a point and shoot type anyway who hates to mess with settings so, really... I don't know what I'm complaining about.
How do you feel about the noise on the back now? The only time I heard it was when I was trying to....
I don't have a Turbo yet I got to see the both Versions for a short time not long to fully evaluate but the metal Version seems solid like my one 8 the Bolistic version while I mention i had a short time with it I thought was nice as well but holding it for a short time is not like using it all the time.. I after all the issues idle down on it hopefully soon I take more of a look at I thinking I'll do something after the first of the year..
But to me both Units look well the way there Designed..
