attachment photo asked to use gallery or photos to open picture attachment then is says "just once or always" tapped photo and always and now different photos appear

in text messaging i received a photo as an attachment - i tapped on attached photo and dialogue box says " open with photos or Gallery" I tapped photos, then is says once or forever I tapped forever. Now when I tap an attachment from that sender is displays a random photo from that sender. How can I change back to original settings from this user.

Go into Settings > Applications > Default applications.  You should see a listing of apps you have set as a default... and you can change those to your liking from there.
