LG G2 getting hot and using too much data

My wife's LG G2 is getting extremely hot around the camera and is killing the battery, plus her data usage has doubled. Before we both used under 2 gigs of data, now she is over 3 gigs by herself. She took it back to the store and the "expert" fiddled with it and said if it gives you more problems bring it back! WHAT! That's why she's here now! It's giving her problems!

Anybody have any ideas??

Try this but also carefully pull the Sim card and restart the phone. If she's been using Facebook log in and go to app settings and turn off auto play video or to WiFi only. Just a guess there. You may need to do a Verizon cloud backup on WiFi and fdr it

What kind of signal are you getting on the phone.? Is it fairly week or strong, if it's week try if you have it Wi-Fi sometime a phone will stay fully connected to the Network the Towers if the signal is Week.. Now my phone my m8 get really warm if I use this one app even for a short time.. real racing 3 so I have to give the game a break and that is using my Wi-Fi so sometimes it's a good thing to check your apps the Double square on the right side of the home button press to tap into this area and see what apps your running if there is any present that you don't want running with a swipe to the left or right of the screen will disable them.. until you got to that app again..

One app I use that can keep taps on your apps running and not running and the phones CPU's the Temperature for the CPU and battery is an App called System Panel in the Playstore there are 2 Versions Free and the other for $2.99
