i need help

I have been a customer for over four years. I recently gt the note 3 and i loved it. Then a couple of weeks ago i got into an accident where i ended up in a very large ditch. Me and my son got out unharmed but my phone didnt. I had insurance on my phone but its $200 to get a new one and they cant promise that ill even get the same phone! I dont have any extra money right now because i need to get a new car. I asked my verizon store if they could help me out in some kind of way but there is nothing they can do. So now im stuck paying for something i cant even use. I asked friends if they have an old phone but nobody does. I just dont know what to do. If verizon cant help me why should i continue giving them money? Can any one offer some advice?

Keeping customers happy doesn't mean giving away the house. I'm sure McDonald's can keep customers happy by selling Big Macs for 25 cents. I'm also sure they'll go broke doing that. Listen I'm pretty sure you do not expect Verizon just to offer YOU ad just you a special deal which means offering EVERYONE a special deal. While your accident may be real I suspect if Verizon gave out new phones for every accident the number of "accidents" would go up greatly.

You didn't pay much for he phone because you got it on subsidy hence a 2 year contract. That doesn't mean the phone isn't worth more than that. The Note 3 is $600. And if Verizon did let you make payments on a new on that's the price they would be basing the payments on.

Is it fair the insurance might give you a different phone? No and that's just one of the reasons I don't get insurance. However those were therm terms you AGREED to when you signed up for the insurance. Kind of hard to complain about that AFTER the fact when you could have refused insurance if you didn't like the terms.

Not to sound cruel but why should Verizon give you a new phone? You bought insurance. Why pay for insurance if you are not going to use it? I'm not seeing where Verizon has any responsibility in the matter.

Like the other poster said its not Verizon's fault.

However the device is covered under your auto insurance if it was damaged in the car accident.

Your phone insurance if through Asurian http://www.phoneclaim.com/Verizon

And there is a deductible. But the phone will be in your hands overnight. You are still obligated to pay your bill with or without a device.

They said i probably wont get the same phone. Do u think its fair that i pay for one phone and get which ever phone they want me to have. I picked the phone i wanted i didnt let the salesman pick it for me and why cant they let me make payments on a phone. Im not asking for anything free

If it's a sure on its $99 deductible you'll get the same phone model. Can you pay with a credit card? If they try to put you in a different model like s5 kindly say absolutely not. Unless of course you like that model.

The only reason you would get a different phone from Asurion is if they're out of stock on your model. They will offer you a comparable device and you have the option to take it or wait until they get replacements for your model. Sometimes there just aren't and you might have to take a different one. They may even send you a Note 4. Who told you that wouldn't get a Note 3 anyway? Was it Asurion directly?

I am sorry that you were in an accident but VZW does not provide you with a device. That is our responsibility hence the reason to get insurance. I suggest contacting Asurion and discussing with them.
