Locked out of phone and need to retrieve personal data

Please help me!!! I have a Motorola Droid Razr. I changed my password in the night recently and woke up forgetting what I changed it to. Now I am locked out and being told my only option is to reset the phone to factory settings. I will lose over 900 pictures of my children from the last 2 years and lots of other valuable information/media. I want to know how to get all of that off my phone before resetting or another way to access the phone. My lock screen is locked using a WORD and I didn't have a google account that I recall setting up on the phone. I hope someone can help me!!

If your pictures and data are on the SD card, simply pull the card before you do a factory reset. I don't know if there is other methods to get you into your phone since you never created a google account, unless you remember your password. You have to get  into the habit of backing your data up somewhere else so if resets have to be done, little pain involved.
