No longer eligible for 1gb free data promo after modifying order to spend more $ with vzw

I modified my order for a 16GB iPhone 6 today in order to purchase a 64GB model instead. The new ship date is Oct. 14th. The agent (who was very professional and helpful) advised that the 1GB additional data promo (pasted below) provided with my initial purchase requires activation of the new phone by the end of September. That will be impossible, as the ship date of the revised order is Oct. 14th. The agent tried to see if he could accommodate me, but was unable to do so as he did not have the authority to make such a decision. He provided me with a contact email, but it was an invalid email address. It does not seem fair that I would be penalized by losing the opportunity for this promo as a result of my spending additional monies with Verizon. Can anyone at VZW resolve this for me?

Can you help me as well? I'm porting over from Sprint and trying to set up two phones. I went ahead and ordered one since the delivery date says 9/19 but I want to make sure if I order the one that says 10/21 that I will still be eligible for this promo. Thanks!

Hello there--

I'm in the same situation as the original poster. I pre-ordered my iphone 6 on Sept. 12, got the confirmation email that said: "1 GB Additional Data for a limited time" but the phone was backordered and I wouldn't get it in time to activate it before the end of September. Is there any way I can still get the 1 GB bonus offer?

I completely understand your concern, seventysixersfan! As long as your confirmation shows that you have the 1GB additional data promotion, you will receive it at the time of activation. Hang on to your receipt for your records as well.

We are aware that the device is on backorder which should not impact the promotion as long as it was selected at the time you ordered the device.

I specifically ordered a new iPhone in September because of the 1GB data promotion. I was already a more of everything customer, I bumped up my data plan to 1GB on my order. I was surprised to find that my data plan didn't change

after the order AND when I got my new phone, I was told that I had to change my data plan before buying the new phone,

not to be done on the same order.

So, if I bumped up my data plan the day before and then upgraded my [phone the next day, that would have worked.

I just received my phone yesterday and I'm so angry that I'm considering returning it and going back to my old phone.
