Ineligible for verizon edge?

So I have been with verizon for over a year now and overall it's been good. I've been interested in the Edge program for a while now but for some reason my account is never eligible for it.

I meet all the basic requirements, have at least 8-10 of my last payments on time as they are taken straight out of the bank every month. Been with verizon over a year. Account and everything is in good standing. So how come when I speak to verizon customer service or an associate at various stores I'm "ineligible"? They say it's based on these factors, plus a credit check but at the same time can never have the option to run credit to verify so how is this an actual program?

Are you on a standard 2 year contract? There seems to be no current offers right now for Early Edge, they expired on 10/4 (9/30 officially).

hi, I am in a two year contract that ends in July 2015. And I've heard that before, that there's no more "promotions". But I spoke to an associate about 3-4 weeks ago that said the same thing to me, that a promotion just ended. I just don't understand, is it a random promotion or is it a program cause to me, it can't be both. And as a consumer/customer it's misleading and frustrating. While looking at the website or FAQ on Edge it doesn't say anything about it being a "promotion". It says of you want to upgrade sooner, we have this program.

The promotion is here, but ended 9/30/14 (unofficially 10/4/14).

I'm waiting as well to see if there will be anything new.
