Pay off EDGE, transfer upgrade?

We have an account with 2 iphones on EDGE and 1 not on EDGE. The one not on EDGE is 10 months into a new contract.  I put this line on a 2 year as I didn't really understand the benefit of EDGE and no one explained it to me fully.  Is it possible to pay off one of the EDGE phones/lines and  transfer the upgrade to the non-EDGE line so I can upgrade it to the iphone 6?  We would also upgrade the then paid off EDGE phone with another iphone 6.

You can't convert it to an EDGE agreement until the two year contract is fulfilled.  There was a promo (and it may be offered again) where you could convert a contract with less than a year left to an EDGE agreement - but you have more than a year left at this point.  And that promo is over... perhaps it will be offered when you have a year or less left on the contrct??
