Very recently when I try to say "My Galaxy", it doesn't work. I have to tap on S Voice mic to make a phone call. Does anyone else have this problem and can it be fixed?
I found out what the problem was. I just had to swipe down on my home screen (I have a Samsung Galaxy S5), touch the upper right hand corner with the three little boxes and two half arrows, then tap on Car mode. That solved the problem.
I have the google bar with the mic at the top of the screen and I hit the mic and say call so and so home or call so and so mobile and it will dial the number. I would be curious to know about my galaxy and doing it that way. Mary
Litespeed, Hmm this does seem like a strange issue to be having. I would love to check a setting in the device real quick. If you open up S Voice, tap on the three dots in the upper right hand corner, make sure the first option shows "Disable Voice Promt". Then tap on Settings, Tap on Voice Wake-Up, make sure that is turned ON, then tap on Set Wake-Up command. Walk through the steps of setting that back up. Then re-test it. Keep us posted. I just tried these settings and when I speak to the phone on the home screen using the command I gave it nothing happens. Maybe I am missing something or maybe because I use the google mic and call that way is why S voice won't wake up? Learning so much about this phone. Mary
You have to open the app or 'wake up' S voice by double-tapping the Home key.
