Why so hard to just get a SIM?

I am sitting here in a corporate store in San Diego, fifth in line, and all I need is a simple nano SIM for a new iPad Air 2? other carriers make this easy, but with Verizon I could not pick up 1 ahead of time and I have to wait for a group moving around 5 phones, a new corporate account, and a bunch of new activations. I just need a SIM and I can do the rest myself. Why?

First come first served. Comes to my mind.

I walked into AT&T to get a nano Sim and there was two folks ahead of me. I simply waited. Patience is a virtue.

They even offered to put the Sim in my iPad mini w/retina display.

But I left because people were waiting behind me.

You could have called customer service at 1-800-922-0204 or *611 and requested one be send to you. I think you can even request one online through the Switch/Activate Device option in your MyVerizon account online.

Otherwise you can wait in line like everyone else.

I would love to order it online and then just go pick it up like many other stores these days. But online, I would then have to wait until Monday or Tuesday. I know, 1st world problem. The retail sales just seems very inefficient compared to other retail establishments. Thanks, it helped pass the time!

Consider yourself lucky you have a corporate store near you. The nearest one to me is 45 miles away and the local retail store wants $25 for a SIM. So either pay $25 or spend $10 in gas and 2 extra hours of my time driving or call and wait for it in the mail.
