I've been with Verizon Wireless since they began as Bell Atlantic Mobile. My issue with the service began after upgrading a 4 to an iPhone 5s.
With the 4, I enjoyed 4 full bars of reception and 95% of the time strong 3G service.
Since upgrading, I am faced with 1 bar (dot) and although I am new to LTE, terrible LTE (0.015 av.) d/l speeds with high double digit or sometimes triple digit ping times.
In March, I went to a Verizon store where they exchanged my iPhone 5s 32GB with an unopened box replacement. Problem is, the symptoms remain. (They changed my contract date when they exchanged the phone but that's a separate matter)
This now looks more like a service delivery issue than a phone issue. I was counselled to terminate the contract due to the carriers inability to live up to their end of the bargain but I've been with Verizon a long time. I like the terms of my contract and I have no guarantee another carrier will be any better.
I welcome any sound advice and I would also like to hear if anyone experienced a similar issue with their phone service.
