Single Line Plan vs More Everything Plan

I have gone to several different Verizon stores now and cannot get an answer for my questions. When I asked about the single line plan I get different answers. One store told me that the single line plan is $60/month for 2GB of data for 24 months. This same store told me that I would also receive 1 free GB of data for 24 months on the single line plan. The other store told me that they never heard of this $60 plan and told me that the single line plan would be $110/month.

So my question is which is it? Is it $60/month for 2GB of data plus 1 free GB of data for 24 months or not?

$60 with 2GB data. (But you can't use your mobile hotspot feature on your phone*.)

*Even though it doesn't say so on that page; and even though mobile hotspot is really a device feature, not a service; and even though it will be written in your service agreement letter that your service does come with mobile hotspot. It's cool, though. Doesn't annoy me at all. Nope, not at all.

If you really need a hotspot with a 2 GB plan the you either need a regular More Everything plan or pre-paid. I'm not sure how one uses a hotspot with only 2 GB of data, but whatever. You're getting $30 discount so yeah some features might be missing. Maybe they should add a hotspot option for $10 or something. Maybe an idea of the suggestion box if they had one. For people that don't need or want a hotpsot( most people ) the $60 single line plan is good.

Yeah, I know what the options are. I'm just pointing out the absurdity of the pricing. First, mobile hotspot is a device capability, not a service -- it doesn't cost Verizon anything more to allow me to use it. And even if it was a service, it's not worth an extra $30/mo. for most people. So it's merely a thing they took control over, and then use it to push people up to a higher plan, even though it doesn't cost them even a penny more to provide it.

Also, prepaid doesn't allow mobile hotspot on your phone, either.

I want to be sure that you have all the features and data usage you need! Our $60 single line plan is a discounted plan and does not have all the nice features that our More Everything plan needs. What is your current data usage? Perhaps a smaller More Everything plan will work better in your budget and still give you the hotspot feature built into the pricing?
