Since my upgrade to 8.0 my iphone 5s does not connect to internet and I can not receive calls from other iphone users.  If I turn on IM other iphone texts go to my ipad air as IM.  I have turned off IM on both devices but still not working.  My safari does not work and I can not perform Verizon backup.

I'm sorry your phone is having issues connecting to the internet auntiebean. I know its frustrating but we are here to help. Have you tried resetting the network settings http://vz.to/QbBz21 ? I would also clear your browser history on the phone then power cycle. Please keep us posted.
