I'm thinking of upgrading to the advanced calling 1.0 but am not sure about the caller id. Will I be able to see who's calling?
The Verizon response is not exactly correct or clear. I have advanced calling 1.0 activated and I do get caller ID. If that number is in your phone book, you will see the name, and if it is not in your phone book, you will see the number. What you will not see is if a person or business has set up Name to be sent even if the number is not in your phone book. That is the official line, but I have even seen those come through, so they must be working on it but not ready yet to say it is supported.
