Two Data Lines to One Data Line AFTER 2 year contract expiration ?

Due to 2 smartphone breakages within a short time almost immediately after becoming a Verizon Wireless customer, my smartphone replacement option was adding ANOTHER data line to take advantage of promotional smartphone pricing,  meaning two Data Lines but only one smartphone... Finally within weeks of THE END of initial 2 year contract and I want to drop the data line completely... But my current smartphone got switched to the initial contract so I could use my original cell phone number... QUESTIONS:  1.  Can I swap cell phone numbers AND devices from one 2 year contract to the other? How do you actually DROP an expired data line when it isn't being used? Again, ONE smartphone and TWO Data Lines... Will I be able to get this done? Will I still be able to get the SHARE EVERYTHING package if I have with only ONE line? There has to be a good idea on how to accomplish this.... HELP ME OUT VERIZON... PLEASE

I understand where you're coming from Crash30071; I apologize if there was a confusion. This sounds like you were not eligible to upgrade your phone back then since still under contract. So, an additional line allowed you to upgrade at discounted price, with a 2-year contract. Is the second line a smartphone? Then, yes, but that line will go into contract; you would still keep both lines if in contract. If it's a tablet or jetpack, other than a smartphone, it can't upgrade to a smartphone.
