when checking my smartphones upgrade dates both lines indicate "early edge"... I don't understand because both of my lines are two year contracts. Does anybody know what. "early edge" upgrade is?

It means you can get into an edge agreement on a new phone if you return the one you currently have in good working condition. Most recent early edge offers have been for the droid turbo only.
