Need help my mother is in mexico on a family emergency but can't text me I told her to dialĀ 001 then d number but no luck

Is she using a local carrier to text or did she travel with a Verizon Wireless cellphone? If she is using the local carrier make sure your number is set up to receive international calls and texts and have her reach out to the local carrier if the trouble persists.If she is using her Verizon Wireless cellphone, in order for her to text, the international dial allow would need to be enabled on her line and roaming enabled on the phone. Thanks for answering. She has a verizon wireless phone it's an lg ally we have the mexico/canada plan where would she go on the phone to allow roaming so she can text

I'm not sure if the LG Ally is global ready to roam on international carriers like the ones in Mexico.
