Circles have appeared on my screen and I have to run my finger over them in a certain sequence for my phone to be usable. I want rid of them! Help!

I don't know how I got these on my screen, but doodling with my phone I have got circles on my screen and until I run my finger over them in a certain sequence I cannot access my phone. I do not want these on the screen. I want them gone. How do I get them off someone out there?

Here I am to save the day abbysue! May I ask what make and model device do you have? Is there any physical/liquid damage on the device? Can I assume that you do not have a screen protector on the device? As you share the details then we can assist.

It sounds like you've activated the pattern lock (Android phone?). Depending on your phone, you'll find the settings for that under Security, Screen lock, Pattern..... what device do you have? It would help us to be able to give you specific directions.
