I'm on the prepaid plan...

Bought a preowned phone and paid $45 for first month on 11/27.. Total $137.79... Started getting texts and emails and calls from verizon.. Email says my bill is now payable for $163. When I go to myverizon, it shows no balance due... Just shows renews on 12/27. Which should be correct... How can I resolve this? Absolutely impossible to talk to anyone and the menus don't fit the problem!

Call customer service at 800-922-0204. Choose option 4 (Other) and then say "Agent" when prompted for the reason for your call. You should be connected to rep, a love person. in a few minutes.

Hopefully they can resolve exactly what type of account you have and what your billing should be.

The pre-paid number is 888-284-6804, choose 1 for English, the 4,6,4 to get to a love person (if the post paid CS number above does not resolve this).

If you're in a Prepaid plan, you'll never got bills. You pay in advace the monthly amount you'll use for the next 30 days.
Maybe it's a mistake with the email?

Was this pre-owned phone a replacement phone for another one on your account?? Or was setting-up service for the first time?? The whole time that I was on a Prepaid Plan, I never received any bills related to it. I just paid in advance for any service as I go.

Yes I agree I should not be getting a bill but here is a copy of what they have sent me. Also when I go to myverizon, the info is correct.. I'm getting these "bills" via text, emails and phone calls.. Very annoying and just waiting to be disconnected... The frustration is amplified by the lack of a means to communicate with Verizon... None of the menus address this situation and I don't see a way to talk to a human.

THis is not a replacement phone. I bought it as a preowned verizon phone and paid for the phone and the first months bill... Never had verizon before....regretting I have them now! When I go to myverizon, it shows no balance due and my renewal being 12/27, which is correct.. I've been getting text, email and recorded phone messages, saying in owe $163. No way to resolve this using phone menu that verizon provides

this sounds to me like your not prepaid. did you have to give your social security number when you signed up?

Zellerandy, yes its a prepay plan. The receipt that came with the phone list a it as prepay, its $45 a month. The first month was $50 because they added extra data. Again... When I go to myverizon... All is well. It shows no balance due...it says my plan is due for renewal on 12/27... This is all correct.. It' does not mention anyjthing about $163! The problem is I keep getting emails and texts and robot calls telling me something different. When I click on "pay bill" it takes me to myverizon, where it shows nothing due..

Suzyq, thanks for the help.... That's what I need. So far today, I've not heard from the demons called Verizon... If I do hear again, I'll try your numbers.. Thanks again... Also after the trouble getting my number ported and now this, maybe I'll go with a verizon reseller and save a few dollars at the same time. I can get about the same plan for $30 elsewhere and customer service couldn't be any worse..........could it?

A possiblity - your new (to you) phone # may be listed on someone else's account as a contact number. If that is the case, you are getting notices that belong to someone else.

This may be hard to backtrack. It's possible customer care can search their system by 'contact number' and locate the account that includes your phone number.

Eliew, thanks, but it's not a new number. I kept my old number and brought it to verizon... all through this my account at myverizon has always had the correct info... but I was getting emails, texts and robo calls telling me I owed $163. None were received today and I'll,give it another day and see if this too shall pass!
