Early Termination Fee/Options?

I purchased my phone prior to November 2014 for the early cancellation fees I've read that this is following policy:

Early termination fee will be $175 minus $5 for each full month of your contract term that you complete (prior to November 14, 2014).

Is this accurate? Is there any other way to reduce the fee or eliminate a fee besides transferring to my phone to use?

Do you do a buy back your phone program? The phone has no issues, I just need to cancel the contract as I won't be needing the phone anymore.

There is no way to reduce the ETF except to ride the contract out. If you cancel service you will have to pay the fee, that is how you eliminate it.

If you no longer want the phone, you can sell it on a site such as swappa.com.
