Expired Verizon wireless rebate card

I just found out that my $100 card expired a month ago. Citi customer service acknowledged the balance of $100 on the card but said it expired therefore I could not use it and he could not help me. Was I informed correctly? Would Verizon reissue a new card?

VZW does not issue the cards. It is another company. You can try to call the rebate company at 1-800-457-0864.

Jane1202, that is a lot of money to be sitting out there. I want to make sure we check into this for you. How long ago did you get the Rebate Card? What was the expired date on the card? Please keep us posted.

Thank you for your help, Kevin! I received two cards about 6 months ago, the expiration date is 10/14. I have a few dollars left on one card, and $100 on this new card.
