I have an old phone that doesn't use data, I think it is the Extravert, that has a end contract date in mid May. The problem is I want to buy a new smart phone now. I think the ETF will end up being around 85 dollars, but my question is if I cancel my contract will I still be able to sign up for a smart phone on Verizon for the discounted contract price? Also, I am on a family plan now so will I be able to be added back to that plan without any penalties and will I be able to get the same rates as the other members on the family plan with data plans? Basically I just want to know what prices, fees, and rates I would be subject to if this course of action is possible.
