So a few days ago I went to the Verizon store and asked to order a new iphone6 because my iphone 4 broke. I have 450 min. unlimited text and unlimited data. I have been with Verizon since 1999. I know that if I get a new plan, or take a phone discount my data goes away. Knowing this I asked to order the phone, pay full price, and not change ANYTHING about my plan. Just switch numbers that's it. The guys said ok. Today I went to pick up the phone. I repeated that I didn't want anything on my plan changed, just the new phone switched to my number. The guy said ok, does it, then hands me a contract. He tells me its the exact same plan. I notice that on the contract everything is the same except I now only have 2GB of data, I tell him this is not the same plan and I want to keep unlimited data. He then tells me he already changed it and he can't fix it. I tell him "no deal". He calls customer service and the guy on the phone says he can change it but he needs a code. The only one he knows is one for 6GB of data for $30. I say no way. The rep at the store assures me that they will fix it. I say ok, take the phone and leave. I then call customer service in the parking lot and the girl tells me that I have unlimited data on my plan. I think all is good until I get home and the Verizon website says I have the 6GB plan. My question is, did I just get tricked into giving up unlimited data for $30 a month to pay $900 for a phone and only get 6GB for $30 a month?
