I have a Motorola Android Ultra version 4.4.4. I have assigned contact photos for my contacts. On an almost daily basis, the favorites contact photos disappear. I reassign them, and again, they disappear in a day or two. So, aggravating!! I called Motorola support and tried rebooting, tried doing recovery, tried un-syncing and re-syncing accounts. That helped for about a week, and now I'm back to losing favorites contact photos.
