I had a late fee on my bill for the period of Oct-Nov and just paid it off. Now when I check my bill for Nov-Dec, I still have a late fee even though my bill isn't due until the 14th. How can this be?
Late fees do not show up on bill already issued. If you paid your Oct-Nov bill late, you were assessed a late fee which shows up on your Nov-Dec bill even though it was for the Oct-Nov billing period. Verizon does not go back, reprint and then resend the Oct-Nov bill simply because you are late paying it. The late fee shows up on the next month's bill.
Additionally, IF you had a late fee which showed up on your bill for the period of Oct-Nov THAT late fee was for the previous month's bill being paid late. IF you "just paid it off", that sounds as if you paid THAT bill late, after the Nov 14 bill due date, which would mean you will have a late fee on this month's bill which is due on Dec 14. If you make payment after THAT date, you will have another late fee on next month's bill.
