I'm traveling in the Dominican Republic, and can't get any calls to connect... Even after stopping into my local Verizon store this week to get the phone set up and adding an "international calling plan" along with data package. Was told that I was "good to go" prior to leaving the store. Also can't get connected to live chat via a web browser, and VZWsupport on twitter is unresponsive. Error message when calling says "the number is incorrect," and immediately disconnects. Can't call global support because of phone connection issues. Phone is an iPhone 5, and have used internationally many times with no problems. Texts appear to be working fine. Any suggestions?
