My wife has 16gb 4s, messing up. My MIL gave us her 64gb 4s to use, also verizon. I've backed up wife's phone on iTunes. Do I do regular setup on the "new" 64gb? Will the backup restore her contacts and texts? Kinda nervous doing this on my own.
First turn off find my iPhone on both phones. Then reset the 64GB 4S by selecting Settings/General/Reset/Erase all content and settings. Then when the phone restarts, it will be like a new phone it will give you option to restore from iTunes backup. It is very easy and straightforward. Keep the 16 GB iPhone intact for a whIke to check on settings.
