I signed up for service on 7/27/09. My first bill appeared online on 8/6/09. I was expecting the prorating and being billed one month in advance. However, I was suppose to get a discount through my employer (it was not applied) and the activation was supposed to be waived.
I went back to the store where I purchased the phones (not a corporate store). My work ID was faxed again to Verizon and I also had him remove the insurance, text messaging, Vpak from my service. I was also told he would process the waived activation fee.
My question is - when will these changes, credits appear online? My bill is due on 8/29/09 and I am not going to pay the higher bill (193.00) and let them credit me (~$86) on my next bill. Can I deduct the charges and just pay the differences or should the credits appear online before my bill is due?
Does an "independent" store have different policies than a "corporate" store? I seem to get mixed information.
