switching from pantech device to internal laptop mobile broadband un2400

hey, my friend has this verizon internet and she has a pantech device that quit working, her laptop has a hp un2400 mobile broadband device built in, does she just need to download the vz manager for it and enter her number, or does she have to sign into her account and make any changes before she can use the internal device built into her laptop?

She will need to log into her My Verizon account, or contact Verizon customer service and provide the IMEI/IMSI of the un2400. For My Verizon, this is entered into the page when switching devices. This has to be done before anything else. The UN2400 will then need to be programmed (VZAM should do this for you).
