"National Access Coverage not available"??

I just got a refurbished phone to replace an old phone. I went to download Back-Up Assistant so I could get all my contacts back, but when I clicked on "Get New Applications" on my phone, it said "Unable to verify your account information." I also tried to send some pix messages from the Verizon Wireless site via my online account so that I could have some wallpapers but when I tried opening the messages on my phone, it would say "Connecting..." for a while then say "National Access Coverage not available". What does all this mean? I've sent pix messages this way before with no problem and I've also use the online store via my phone before so I'm really confused. Please help me out...

Call Customer Service (*611 from the handset, or 800-922-0204) and have them check to see if a National Access Block has been placed on the account. That will prevent picture messaging, and downloads, and it sounds like that is what is going on here. Have them remove the data block, and everything should work again.

I have a similar problem which I called *611 months ago and they were unsuccessful in fixing it...created a ticket and everything, but I haven't had time to follow up with them and now it's probably too late. However, here's my issue:

When I first received my Droid X I was able send picture texting without issue...then all of a sudden several months ago it stopped working. I live in the same area and nothing has changed as far as my coverage goes. I confirmed with them as well as online just now that I do not have any blocks on my phone at all, but I still receive this message when attempting to send video/picture texting. It's been updated with *228 several times, turned off & on several times, battery removed/replaced several times and absolutely nothing has helped. What do you suggest I do now? Take it in to service center and have them look at it?

Please PM me with your wireless number, and an alternate number where you can be reached (other than your wireless number) so that we can troubleshoot.

Charleen, I am having the same issues and I live in Amherst. I was on the phone for over 2 hours with a Verizon Tech and nothing worked. Has your issue been resolved? I'm beginning to think it is a Verizon issue and not a phone issue since I have always been able to send picture messages without a problem until a couple months ago.

I am having the same problems as Charleen and I live one town over from her. I have spoken to a Tech and nothing seems to work. This problem started happening a couple months ago, before that I never had problems sending picture messages. Help!!!
