I can not group text with my friends who have I Phones. I have installed 5 various texting apps to no avail.
Did you previously have an iPhone? It could be that you, by no fault of your own, didn't fully disable iMessage. I prefer GroupMe. It is specifically for group messaging and is available on Android, iOS and online.
Yes, I did. I wiped the phone clean and clear. I doubt that I turned off the imessage though.
I think I will take the Android back and just get the I 6 phone.
Nooooooo! It is an Apple thing. They hijacked your number on iMessage. Try this first Deregister and Turn Off iMessage - Apple Support. Scroll to the part that says No Longer have your iPhone and put in your number then the code you will receive. Then tell your friends to delete the group threads and try to send the messages again.

I really want to like this phone.
I don't want to IM. I want to text. I group text non stop all day with coworkers and friends.
This is just way too inconvenient for all involved.
And honestly, this is too much phone-bells and whistles-for me.

I get it. It took a while for my friends with iPhone to group text with me after I switched. I still like GroupMe waaaaay better.
Groupme is Instant messaging correct? That is what it looked like to me.
Technically it is. It is not a bad thing. I just don't like Group Texting.
