Can't activate DROID Maxx

My DROID Maxx arrived in the mail yesterday, and I was unable to activate it. I turned off my old phone, turned off everything on my old phone that uses data, and I was still unable to active my DROID with four bars. Is there any sort of online activation that I can use when I have the DROID plugged into my PC, or is there something else I can do to activate it? Thanks

Plugging the Droid Maxx into the computer is not going to activate it. On the Verizon website after you sigh in. Scroll down to a column on the lower left where you'll see Activate or Switch Device. You might be able to activate from there, on two previous occasions it didn't work for me, but you may have better luck.

If that doesn't work you're gonna have to call them. But you can't call them from your old phone while the account of that old phone is still active, you'll need to use another phone. If you stop by a Verizon store they'll surely activate it for you very quickly. You're gonna like the Droid Maxx. Goodluck

You probably still need to accept the terms and conditions for the service agreement. Try calling 877-807-4646 to accept them. This should unlock the phone to be activated and will give the option to activate now. After that, just turn it on and it should self activate.

The device would not have been shipped to the OP if he had not accepted the terms and conditions.

But you are correct that once he turns on the device (NOT plugged into a computer) it should begin the self activation process
