I have a 6 and my wife has a 6Plus. Anytime either of our phones ring from an incoming call they both ring. I cannot figure out how to stop this from happening.
sprmankalel is correct in terms of the same Apple ID being used. The other option is to disable FaceTime iPhone Cellular Calls via the steps on this CNet article: Stop incoming iPhone calls from ringing on other iDevices - CNET - good luck!
You're signed into both phones with the same Apple ID. You need to use a different Apple ID for each phone. If you want to share the same credit card for purchases then set up Family Sharing. Make an appointment and visit an Apple Store for this assistance.
Reason #670 that I don't use iPhone. Apple made using an Apple ID waaaaaay more complicated.
I was able to stop the calls from going to both phones buy 1st, going to Settings/Handoff & Suggested Apps and disabling Handoff and 2nd, going to Messages and making sure my Send & Receive was just to my phone. It seems as though there are multiple ways besides having duplicate iTunes accounts.
Thanks for the response.....
That is true, but then you are turning off features. If you never plan to use handoff, Fine, but it does remove functionality of you have multiple Apple devices for you. The ultimate cause is sharing AppleID and there are better ways to set up today (family sharing) than using the same AppleID. It can cause other problems too.
I like how we answered the question and the provided suggestions are wrong.
