Has anyone used Verizon's Repair Assistant Software ? w.

I followed the "stoneage" post from 3 weeks ago. I have the same problem with my Samsung s5. The wifi turns on by itself. Also cuts out when I'm locked on a secure wifi signal.

Verizon advised him to use Repair Assistant.

Has anyone used this program before. I don't want to start more problems than I have already.

Can you try Samsung Kies instead? The SUA rarely works if it even connects.

I'll connect to samsung to check for updates. But have you heard of any issues with Samsung's galaxy s5 turning on the wifi by itself? And dropping out when idle for a period of time?

Yes, check your advanced wifi settings in main settings-wifi-menu-advanced. Could be it is set to save power in idle or minimize wifi drain.
