I can't send or receive pictures from an android phone from my iphone 6.

My wife has an Iphone 6 and she can send and receive texts and photos from her Iphones but can only send and receive

texts from android phones.

Are you sending via SMS or iMessage? Blue or Green dot/icon?

green icon for android but blue when communicating with an Iphone..
